Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Architecture
Multi-cloud patterns: Crossplane, Azure Arc, Anthos. Kubernetes as universal runtime. When multi-cloud adds value vs operational cost.
Overview
Overview Multi-cloud runs workloads across two or more providers for vendor leverage, best-of-breed services, compliance, or DR. Hybrid cloud combines public cloud with on-premises. Portability is achieved via Kubernetes as the common runtime, GitOps for configuration, and a control plane (Anthos, Azure Arc, Crossplane) across clouds.
The promise of seamless portability is partially real: containers are portable, managed service dependencies create data gravity lock-in.
