Container Fundamentals
Containers are not lightweight VMs — they are Linux processes scoped by namespaces, capped by cgroups, and confined by capabilities + seccomp + LSM (AppArmor / SELinux). The OCI specs (image-spec, runtime-spec, distribution-spec) standardized what was once "Docker only" so runc, crun, youki, containerd, CRI-O, Docker, and Podman can all interoperate.
