Docker Networking

Docker gives every container its own network namespace by default. Containers on the same user-defined bridge network discover each other by name via Docker's embedded DNS. Port publishing creates iptables DNAT rules so host traffic reaches the container. Overlay networks extend this to multi-host clusters.
