Kubernetes Services
Pods are ephemeral — they restart with new IPs. Services provide a stable virtual endpoint (ClusterIP) backed by a label selector that survives pod churn. This topic covers the full lifecycle: how kube-proxy implements ClusterIP via iptables DNAT, all four service types (ClusterIP, NodePort, LoadBalancer, ExternalName), EndpointSlices, headless services, and the externalTrafficPolicy trade-off.
